Re: Live stacking has been closed for over 60 seconds , starting new stack
Hello Robin! There is certainly no golden path that works for everyone and is perfect in all respects. ;) I was convinced that you had thought of something and included an alternative variant. Probably immediately obvious to everyone. That's why I was almost ashamed  to have to ask such a stup...

Live stacking has been closed for over 60 seconds , starting new stack
Hello! Finally, after many, many weeks I was able to put my EAA setup in the garden again and work with Sharpcap version 4.1.11680.0 and experience many fantastic new functionalities. First, I would like to highlight Sharpcap Solving, which now works incredibly quickly. Crazy, what progress,...

Re: Recenter image using platesolve .... problems
Hi Robin! One thing that's interesting is the desire to always have north upwards in the image - why? As an AltAZ EAA observer, I probably have different approaches and desires for the equipment I use. The AltAZ-related image field rotation not only creates the “black” corners in the images, but als...

Re: Recenter image using platesolve .... problems
Hi Robin! I solved it on my own. ;) I found the problem! I had in Sharcap Plate Solving settings .. sharpcap-settings-01.jpg ... Offset the mount position to centre the target - I changed it now to Sync Mount and Re-centre target and now it works fine. My az-eq5 is certainly fully utilized with my S...

Re: Recenter image using platesolve .... problems
Hello @Sierrase, Starsense should work with Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 as well. But I don't have any experience with AZ-EQ6 neither with EQ-Mode. EQ-Mode based on documentation should work in two steps. First it helps you by doing polar-alignment. Second is working as Starsense usual. Servus MunichtAtNight -...

Re: Recenter image using platesolve .... problems
Hello Robin, for me there is no rush. Whenever you have time to take a closer look at it and give me feedback on it, that's great. I think I won't be able to contribute anything to point (1). If so, please let me know. Point (2) about the backlash gave me something to ponder. But I haven't noticed a...

Recenter image using platesolve .... problems
Hello Robin, I tried the new promising and exciting new feature "Recenter..." and there are problems with it. I tried it repeatedly in several processes and each time it showed the same behavior and problem. Initial situation: Skywatcher AZ-EQ5 with Celestron Starsense auto-alignment in Al...

Re: LRGB Stacking
Hi Robin, Thanks for the very detailed description - there are some good thoughts in there and it will take me a while to work my way through all the ideas and make sure I am aware of the implications and interactions with other parts of the software! Are there any recent thoughts on this from your ...

C/2022 E2 time laps
Hello! After almost three month with continuously and completely blocked by clouds I could get comet C/2022 E2. It visited us the last time 50.000 years before and it seems that it is now going into a hyperbolic track and it is time to say "Good Bye and Fare well" for ever .... https://for...
