Re: SC and Focuser calibration anomaly

Thanks Robin,

I got a reply from Optec that they have an option to change the position readout from steps, to mm to microns which I didn't know. I must have moused over the position field and it changed the readout to something other than steps.

Re: SC and Focuser calibration anomaly

Update on the second repeatability step.
1. Do step 1 above
2. Tell Focuslynx to go to 48590
3. Start SC, connect to camera and check focuser position in SC and it is 45417 (not 51890).

Thanks,
Ken

SC and Focuser calibration anomaly

Hi, I have a recent issue with SC and Feathertouch Focuslynx being out of sync. I am on SC (64) 4.1.12128 and Windows 11 with Feathertouch FTX40 focuser Steps to produce. 1. Wind the focuser all the way in and use Focuslynx to sync to 0 position. Exit Focuslynx. 2. Start SC and check focus position ...

Re: Sharpcap crashes in Planetray Stack

Thanks Robin - I realized later I was using my full frame camera instead of my APS-C ZWO (on its way to Texas for the eclipse). I will adjust the memory settings.

Sharpcap crashes in Planetray Stack

Hi, I am using the latest version of 4.1 (64bit) 11947 and I have been doing some stacking work on the moon. While in stacking mode Sharpcap crashes when pressing Save to PNG and a couple of times when I turned of imaging brightness check box. Attached is my log from the last crash. I will start it ...

Re: New Feature : SharpSolve - SharpCap's new built-in plate solver

Corner case - planetary imaging suggestion. I have a 2415mm Dall Kirkham reflector and when I use my ASI678MC (2mu) camera the platesolve has a lot of misses but with my ASI2600 (3.76mu) it works well. In the description notes on the tool it mentions that for >2000mm scopes the use of an APS-C level...

Live Planetary Stacking

Hi Robin, I tested the Live Planetary Stacking and had some great results with it - many thanks for the feature. There was a problem when resizing the stacked ROI area in the tool - blew up Sharpcap and it said it would send a report back to the SC mothership. That repeated a few times so I hope you...

Close the loop here - it was the power supply.

Re: Quad Index was empty errors with plate solving after goto

Thanks Robin - will test again tonight. I also double checked the iOptron Commander ASCOM setup and the camera pixel size and scope settings were empty so the bleeding obvious - I stuffed up...

Quad Index was empty errors with plate solving after goto

I was doing some gotos last night and nearly all my goto plate solves did not work. I kept getting an error like Quad index was empty so I am wondering if the internal platesolve DB was empty. Prior to last night I had a power issue with the system it is running on and I had some crashes. At that ti...
