Jupiter in Color and IR using Adc tool
Hi to all, I just refine a lit bit the use of the adc tool in sharpcap pro, i understand that using slow frame rate causes no gui lock. so I leave the gain as usual when I capture @60fps but I slow down to 8fps during the use of the adc tool and then I come back to 60fps, in this way the tool is ful...

Back to the moon
Hi to all,
I would like to give a try to the Baader Rg610 (R+IR) filter, C11, powermate 2x, 50% of 10.000 frames @170fps, asi 290MM. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
Filippo.

First attempt to Jupiter using ADC and color camera
Hi to all, attached my serious first attempt to Jupiter using ADC and asi 462MC, C11 at f/20. Using the sharpcap ADC tool, I have meausred 0.5 on both the red and the blue vectors, I really do not have any reference, so I would ask if those are good values. I have my telescope in Italy, the planet i...

Re: Some tries with 807 IR Pass Filter Gassendi and Clavius
Hi Tim, yes you are right, it's a kind of balance between seeing and resolution, even if I read many times that under 40 cm diameter is better to stay in the 600-700nm range. Anyway, thanks for the comments, here I attached anopther couple of tries on Plato and Aristarchus, same configuration. I had...

Some tries with 807 IR Pass Filter Gassendi and Clavius
Hi to all, even if I know that 807nm is too much as I start to loose resolution on my C11, I would be curiuos to made some tries, here a couple of results on Gassendi and Clavius, C11 with Powermate 2x, ASI 290MM Astronomik ProPlanet 807, SharpCap Pro, 5000 frames@60 fps. Comments and suggestions ar...

ADC Tool
Hi to all, In the last 2 months I have started to use a 462MC camera for planets in combination with the 290MM. During this year, for central Europe, Jupiter and Saturn are quite low on the horizon and I added and ADC to the image train for compensate such a low altitude. It works, but as soon as I ...

Re: Lunar imaging with filters
Hi to all, I have done couple of tries with astronomik 807 IR on a C11 with asi 290MM using sharpcap pro. Even if the moon was at 25-27° over the horizon, I have to confirm a quite good seeing mitigation due to the filter. Attached Theophilus_Cyrillus and Aristoteles_Eudoxus done in the same night. F.
