Re: QHY268C Not Showing in SC4

Hi Robin,

So i rolled back to 3.2 for some imaging and having now re-installed version 4 and the QHY drivers the program has found the camera!
Maybe I'd installed the 32bit version or something by mistake!
Either way it seems to be working now.

Many thanks

QHY268C Not Showing in SC4

Hi,
I upgraded to Sharpcap 4 as advised and downloaded the latest 'allinone' drivers from QHY however the camera is now not recognised in SC.
Rolled back to 3.2 for now.
I have been using 3.2 successully for some time.

Any ideas welcome?

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

Hi, I'm in a situation now where nothing will recognise the camera via USB. Both the supplier and QHY are going to remotely log on and try to find out what's happening but I think yet again I have another duff QHY268C and will probably request a refund as I've been fighting to get the camera to work...

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

Hi, I don't use the latest version because the camera doesn't function at all. The frames just endlessly loop even after three capture lengths. I have installed the 'allinone' SDK driver both manually and using the QHY install. If I install manually SC doesn't recognise the camera at all and then I ...

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

I tell a lie,

Just noticed that I was using version 3.2.6383, now using version 3.2.6433.
So both of these work for me apart from the buffering.

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

Hi, I have tried the new SDK that QHY created and Sharpcap just loops endlessly, I can't take a single shot and there's no live view at very short exposures. I've tried the latest Sharpcap version but yet again find myself back at version 3.2.6433 as this is the only version that works with my QHY. ...

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

Hi Jason, Weirdly I've tried installing different versions of the QHY driver but everytime I do it in SharpCAP it can't find the camera at all. Even if I put the originally driver back in I have to repair SharpCAP for it to work again. I'm not sure why just swapping QHY driver causes the software to...

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

Hi Robin, Version 3.2.6383 basically works ok apart from the first three shots which is fine, I don't mind waiting, but I'd been resetting because with longer exposures of say 4 mins I'd have to wait 12 mins to see that it was working but because I hadn't I'd keep resetting and starting again only t...

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

Hi Robin,

So i've tried Beta Version 4 as suggested and this didn't work at all I'm afraid.
The camera just exposes indefinitely and is unusable even at very short 2s exposures as I then don't have any live view.

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames

Thanks Robin, I'll give a try and let you know the outcome. I tried by installing the latest SDK drivers from QHY and Sharpcap didn't recognise the camera at all so rolled back. I have also been talking to Sequence Generator Pro to see if their software worked, I would prefer to use Sharpcap though,...
