Re: Time out option for sequencer and dithering
Thanks Robin, that might be a useful addition eventually. Last night, fyi, I ran a sequence and timed instead to finish after 35 exposures before the sun came up. The sequencer was finished, everything ran perfectly, except for one issue that I would like solved. The mount did not go back to zero po...

Time out option for sequencer and dithering
Hi Robin, When imaging now in nautical darkness, I usually setup for 4 hours run with the sequence set to end about 3am determined from number of exposures. I dither every frame, and ask the scope to park so that it does not cause a camera tripod crash. Unfortunately it happened again using sharpcap...

Re: Retaining the dithering sequencer selection
Great, thanks Robin.
It is the only niggly that remains when I use the sequencer. All other info remains when the sequencer is stopped or closed and reopened, except the dithering tab.

Retaining the dithering sequencer selection
Whenever I run a sequence, all setting from the previous shutdown are saved, which is useful. I don't need to save profiles for targets, but even then the problem persists there. Might it be possible to update Sharpcap to ensure that the dithering setting on the tab in the sequence stays at the valu...

Re: DITHERING PROBLEM
Yes, as Robin said. Apologies, I answered without checking your query was for live stacking. In that case, the check box to reduce to 1s is really very helpful. Sounds like a good idea to make it a default necessary option for livestacking. If you were using the sharpcap 4 sequencer, for separate ex...

Re: DITHERING PROBLEM
Hi, Robin explained an option to me that might help. the dithering interval is a tad confusing, and APT for comparison does not use a interval time to start dithering, it just allows it after an number of sub-exposures, which is easier to think about. In sharpcap, for a 240s exposure, I set the dith...

Re: A brief introduction to the SharpCap Sequencer
Thank you Robin, If I reduce dithering interval by a few seconds, would that not cause unwanted movement in the frame about to finish? Basically, how do I get dithering to start after 240s frame has elapsed, but prevent another frame from starting while dithering is happening? Maybe it does that, but...

Re: A brief introduction to the SharpCap Sequencer
Hi again Robin, Can I ask your advice about implementing the option you suggested earlier in the thread, re dithering in still mode between frames. I am using the 'standard' sequencer, and the advanced mode that corresponds to this is here: Clipboard01.jpg Looking at it, will this profile allow stil...

Re: A brief introduction to the SharpCap Sequencer
Thank you Robin, Regarding the dithering query I had, I was referring to the dithering amount in pixels, not the duration (if that is what you thought I asked). With a ratio between my guide scope and imaging scope of 1.5, I can set a 20 pixel dither in sharpcap live stack corresponding to ~30 pixel...

Bug? - livestack from folder
Livestacking from folder in SC v4 beta does not work for me, but 3.2 does with same data. After livestacking from folder starts, the images change to a black background with a large white cross, what looks like an FFT of a pattern. Changing forced debayering option does not remedy it, maybe others h...
