Re: ZWO ASI294MM Pro SDK Update
One more thing I'm seeing that's a bit problematic with these cameras that have high conversion gain modes. I set the Brain to target "Maximum Dynamic Range" but there are two gains where that's achieved on this camera: 0 and 120. Screenshot 2021-05-08 090139.png 120 gain is where HCG kick...

Re: Bug: area selection changes with Smart Histogram measurement
I'll try tonight. I'm using an ZWO ASI294MM Pro in 11MP mode.

Re: Bug: area selection changes with Smart Histogram measurement
I would but my version upgraded to 4.0.7596 and now I'm getting something else: an endless loop of trying values. For example, it tries ~15s, then ~25s, then ~60, ~90, then back to ~15 and on and on. I've never seen it not just get larger until it made a determination.

Re: Bug: area selection changes with Smart Histogram measurement
I did my first run of the new version and it seems much better behaved now. However, I'm seeing something else that's a mystery to me. When I have min exposure at 5s, the Brain recommends 5s for my setup for L filter. However, if I raise that to 15s, the recommendation moves to over 20s. If I move i...

Re: Bug: area selection changes with Smart Histogram measurement
Unfortunately, I can't revert to 3.3.7232.0 beta (the version prior to this change) because it has expired.

Re: Bug: area selection changes with Smart Histogram measurement
It's not the case, right, that perhaps sensor analyses didn't survive the upgrade?

Re: Bug: area selection changes with Smart Histogram measurement
Same issue. I was getting great and reasonable recommendations from the Brain with v3 but v4 just goes and goes and goes. It was trying exposure times up to 2000s before I give up (with the "darkest area" being at the edge or corner where I have vignetting. The Brain was something I used t...

Re: Darkest area of image
Also, the exposure times start to go will beyond the max in the options (1024s, 2000s etc when I have 10m max). I get that it might be trying to collect statistics that are useful if I change that setting but I really don't plan to. As a result I'm waiting for these long test shots that are impracti...

Darkest area of image
The Smart Histogram brain (v4) says it will measure the "darkest are (sp) of the image" but I suspect it's picking up my vignetting as the area is always at the edge or corner of the image. As a result, it keeps increasing the exposure time to very high levels that I know are well beyond w...

Re: ZWO ASI294MM Pro SDK Update
Where do actually find thee log file to send?
Another thing: when switching from 46 to 11, it will bump the Resolution down. But when switching back to 46, the resolution stays at 4144x2822 and has to be changed manually.
