Re: rolling shutter and timestamp

Hi, I tried to see we notice that the reading is done from bottom to top we see a time difference between the top and the bottom (led/pps) on 200X140(1000fps) and 32X400(400fps) pix of height. difficult to evaluate the measurement beyond 140pix in height it would require a line composed of several L...

Re: rolling shutter and timestamp

Oops, no need for the full height I'll make do with the 32X400 format
Long live SharpCap.

Re: rolling shutter and timestamp

<<Note that for many cameras, you only get an increase in frame rate by reducing the height of the ROI area, so selecting a narrower width may not improve the frame rate over using the full sensor.>> Thank you, I have already tried but I do not achieve my goal actually it does not change the speed d...

rolling shutter and timestamp

Hi,
Is it possible to have a field window higher than wide for example 1000X30 pix in order to record the speed of the rolling shutter with a pps led flash. it is for filming two led/pps at the ends but vertically quickly (1000fps) with an asi462 usb3 camera.
It's possible ??
THANKS

Re: Reference of timestamp

Thank you for your answer if I understand correctly .. even a camera equipped with a gps or a time box under a windows pc will have millisecond precision but not better.

Re: Reference of timestamp

Hi <<I'm not sure that adding microseconds to the timestamp in the frame image would be very helpful>> For my part it would be useful in 50X50 format at 2250im/s to film a flash-led /PPS of a gps or for those who need it .. ;) also it is used to set the time offset of the pc with an app. knowing pre...

Re: Reference of timestamp

One thing that would be nice is to add the microseconds to the timestamp in SharpCap..

Re: Reference of timestamp

Hello Michael, ;) for the SERs in SharpCap the timestamped time is equivalent to the end of the exposure whereas with tangra the measured time is in the middle of the exposure for example with an integration time of 0.120s I will subtract 0.06s from my SER to get the exact time what tangra does. kar...
