Hi Robin,
Based on that experience, do you see an "eclipse mode future" for Sharpcap?
It reads like only a couple users tried and it involved quite a bit of "under the hood" work.

Eclipse capabilities?
Hi Robin, Are there eclipse capabilities in the Sharcap future? There is a handful of not up-to-date software for dslr cameras but nothing to use astro cooled CMOS cameras. I am not sure if they would be capable of multiple frames per seconds. You probably have an answer to that 😉 Cheers Stephan

Re: Beating seeing in Sharcap for an animation of the eclipse?
EDIT: Sorry. I reread your question and see that you are only interested in the partial phases. It's only 3 days before the eclipse. You should have been experimenting with various strategies on the whole disk well before now. Brian Thank you for the life lessons but I am not asking how to image th...

Beating seeing in Sharcap for an animation of the eclipse?
I have the eclipse coming up Monday. I am planning to get an image every 30 sec to make an animation of the partial phases in Ha. Since it will be later in the afternoon for my location, seeing will likely be iffy. Is there a way in SC to take a few images one after the other at each 30s time mark? ...

Thank you for the reply.
Do I connect the mount to SC? Or just Phd2?

Re: Take automated tiff images in a sequence? How?
Hi Robin,
Thanks for the reply.
I already tried what you suggested. When I chose "single frame", the lower box in " Start Capture" gets disabled... it becomes impossible to create a sequence with intervals.

Take automated tiff images in a sequence? How?
With the upcoming solar eclipse (Oct 14th) I want to take automated images (tiff files) of the eclipse at a set interval. The goal is to make an animation. I don't have a need for video files as I will be using a simple Sun filter. How do I set that up? 🤔 The capture menu doesn't seem to allow for t...

Uranus C Pro issue
I just received a Uranus C pro camera. SC cannot see it. I installed the camera driver and ascom driver. Device manager doesn't identify any problem. SC update tells me there are no available newer update. The camera connects in NINA and works fine there. The only issue is SC. I unplugged, replugged...
