Re: Altair 26C & 26M Gain
Thanks! I do not have the mono version unfortunately, but that might have changed too. Is the value of 300 a value you selected? I am just curious, but what is the rationale for picking that particular value?

Re: Altair 26C & 26M Gain
Certainly. Using v4.0.9455, my camera appears with the name "AA26CTEC"
Also attached is the sensor analysis that it generated a couple days ago if it is helpful to see it.

Re: Altair 26C & 26M Gain
Hi Robin, I also wanted to ask a similar, quick question about the gain settings for my 26(C). Back on [2 Jan 2021], I ran the sensor analysis with whatever version of SharpCap I was using at the time (not sure exactly which one), and the switch from LCG to HCG appeared to happen at a gain of 300. I...

Re: sequencer issue (maybe?)
Sounds like a good idea. I guess I was initially assuming it was always going to operate in still mode inside the Sequencer. Now that I know to add that step explicitly, it is very easy, but I can imagine you will get this same question from almost everybody who tries it for the first time, so makin...

sequencer issue (maybe?)
hi Robin, For the first clear night in I think four months here in NY/USA, I did some testing with the Sequencer in the latest beta and my new Altair 26C. I set up this simple command set to dither with PHD2 every six frames with 150 second frame integration: SEQUENCE GUIDING CONNECT GUIDING WAIT TA...

Re: bayer pattern FITS header
Thanks so much; it saves a selection when post-processing files. I assume most other users have their own process, but they probably do the same thing every time so just saving whatever setting works for each person seems flexible enough. Yes, if you are interested, Astro Pixel Processor seems to re...

bayer pattern FITS header
hi Robin, I noticed you had changed the FITS header fields BAYERPAT and COLORTYP from GBRG to RGGB in the 3.3 beta. I saw some of your earlier posts about there not really being a universal interpretation of ordering (https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3125). Astro Pixel Processor seems t...

lock up with 60 second frame using Altair 26C
hi Robin, I was testing a new Altair 26C I received last week and think I may have triggered a bug either in SharpCap or maybe in Altair's underlying API. I did sensor analysis on the camera and started taking a sample dark frame at fixed intervals just so I could understand how the camera behaves. ...
