Scope controls addition...
Hello Robin, It would be niffy to have a radio button in the Scope Mount Controlls For toggling force meridian flip. Reason being these days, most ASCOM controlled mounts have long since dealt with the pier-side stuff. So, in an imaging session if my target is East of the meridian, I typically in EQ...

Re: Some Observations using Live Stacking
Robin, Thank you for the response. Your reply helped clarify some of the ambiguity. Most of the issues I was having stem from FITS Header Data inconsistencies. Example, one night I called my target SG, and the Next Night I called it Seagull. Another take away is, FITS Header values are case sensitiv...

Some Observations using Live Stacking
Hello Dr Glover, Have a couple of clarity questions about subs fits files saved when live stacking. Am I correct that if you have subtract darks and apply flats set in preprocessing then the individual subs are saved with these masters applied to the save data? I am asking this because... I am havin...

The Flats Capture routine...
Hello Dr Glover,
I am using SharpCap version 4.1.11804.0 - 2/19/2024.
Zwo ASI533 mono.
Windows 11
When I capture flats and check to also capture darkflats.
The routine does not prompt to cover the OTA to take darks.
It just jumps right to saving subs as darkflats without covering the OTA.

Re: Bravo Dr Glover I am on target with outstanding data
Dr. Glover, Woke up and did a stretch of my blue channel data. Did not fuss too much about it. However in DSS, "I did play around with a custom rectangle and did a x3 drizzle. I think out the 500 plus subs the final 109 subs I chose to stack may have, "Incorporated much of your reply and i...

Bravo Dr Glover I am on target with outstanding data
Dear Dr Glover, Bravo! Absolutely outstanding. Been putting your Signal to Noise Smart Histogram best practices to work. It has been a long haul on the learning curve. A point I reached late last year. However, "The seeing sucked last year. Massively." Hopefully this year's weather pattern...

Re: Focuser not being recongized
Hi Dr. Glover,
Your first approach was the solution.
Uninstalled the Unity program and reinstalled the program back to the version prior to the problem.
Thanks,
Mark

Heads up Dr. Glover
Hello Dr Glover, First off, "A very massive shoutout for taming the TEC two stage cooler for ZWO cooled CMOS cameras." This is very much appreciated. "Given the various cooling issues associated with a cooled astrophotography camera that engages the two staged TEC cooler right out of ...
