Thank you Dave. Used my Tak106 + DayStar Quark + 174mm camera. Best 25% of 5000 images taken (~1mS exposures). Processed per Simon Tang video with Autostakert, Imppg, Ps.

Hi, yes, this is till on the TODO list - I would like to have some sort of version available this year. Hi Robin, just coming back to this topic. Mosaics for solar and lunar imaging would be a great addition to SC. I’d personally pay extra for it.

Is there a way to change the file type of the Snapshot function? Ideally I would like to capture a color image in color. The attached image of the sun has a very short exposure of .4mS. Snapshot is saving it as .png Of course when I click on snapshot with RAW data I get the pixilated mono file…origi...

Thanks for your open-mindedness Robin. I do solar imaging and the compromise of resolution vs full sphere visualization always leads to … Do a mosaic! I don’t have the patience to do it manually (and little interest in learning a whole new acquiring platform) therefore I haven’t done it yet.

Robin this would be an amazing addition to SC and frankly one creature for which I would be happy to pay an additional license fee.

Thanks Robin. I had to use SGP for the imaging and plate solving…it worked for the mapping / calibration. I use SharpCap exclusively for captures though. Things like mosaics are fascinating me now…SharpCap solutions maybe?

I’m experiencing unusual results taking flats with the ASI2400MC Pro. System is Tak FSQ106 EDX4, ZWO filter drawer with NBZ Hutech Ha/Oiii filter. Two situations are highlighted in the images. 1) has “hot” middle and 2) flat . The difference between these two images is only selection of image captur...
