X AXIS TICK MARKS ON HISTOGRAM STRETCH GRAPH
I would like to suggest that on the x-axis of the DISPLAY HISTOGRAM STRETCH putting fixed tick marks, or even vertical lines at 25%, 50% and 75% as an aid to rough/preliminary setting of exposures.

Re: Moonlite position reading differs from SharCap
OK I will look at that tonight. Out of interest, APT and my DSLR reports virtually the same numbers as SharCap. RonP

Moonlite position reading differs from SharCap
Has anyone seen this issue before? I have connected a Moonlite focuser into my system. But the position readings reported in SharpCap differ quite a lot from that shown on the Moonlite stand-alone virtual pad. [For example 3100 v 2040] I believe that SharpCap does nothing with the data sent from the...

Re: Changing focus when changing filter
Thanks Robin- seems to work well. When I built my first [lousey] telescope back in 1956, I could never have imagined the level of functionality we amateurs have these days. I am very grateful and don't take it for granted.

Re: Changing focus when changing filter
Excellent news thanks. I was confused, because on the one hand I had read statements that the EFW did not need an ASCOM driver, yet on the other it did [to do what I wanted] I will go to the link and hopefully be unconfused. Thanks.

Changing focus when changing filter
Please, for the avoidance of doubt;
Am I wasting my time trying to find a way to change focus by a designated amount each time I issue a change filter instruction ?
I have Sharpcap PRO, Moonlite CS focuser, ZWO EFW Filter wheel, ZWO ASI224MC.

TEMPERATURE COMPENSATION OF FOCUS
I have a couple of elementary questions, which I ask simply for the avoidance of doubt. I have obtained a Moonlite CS focuser for my Meade LX200 SCT. This focuser has a temperature sensor which attaches to the OTA. SharpCap/ASCOM requires that I input a temperature coefficient, that is, the number o...

Re: Background sky: effect on histogram
Venus is not conveniently positioned at the moment, and the weather has not been kind to me either. So I cannot promise a histogram example yet. But Venus detail is often best seen at a time when the background sky level is not negligible [except in Ultra Violet] So the histogram appears to take the...

Background sky: effect on histogram
[1] Is there a way to remove or largely remove the background contribution to a planetary histogram? My histograms usually show a peak at both black and white ends. I assume that the background sky helps form the left side peak and the planet the right hand one. At present I clip off the histogram t...

CHANGE OF E-MAIL ADDRESS
Due to recent "events" I have fallen out with my Internet and changed it. Simultaneously I have had to change laptops. To continue with SharpCap Pro, I need to change my e-mail address, but can find no way of doing this. I do not have access to any original correspondence [see above!].How ...
