Re: New Feature : Planetary Live Stacking
I could not get this to work. I had a 400x400 ROI image of Saturn updating at 81fps. I opened the function and saw the menu options. Moving sliders did nothing. The image simply showed the real time SER video. Nothing froze and sharpened. One of the odd things was the Display update rate was 0.0. I ...

Re: Solar Mosaic newbee questions
Robin, Thanks that was very helpful. I was able to connect and open the solar mosaic function. But when I aligned on the first point the software did not proceed to the second point. The instructions remained the same. Also, pressing the arrows did not move the telescope. I'm set for telescope simul...

Solar Mosaic newbee questions
I have used Sharpcap for years for DSO, planetary, solar and lunar imaging with great results. I wanted to try the solar mosaic feature. It is greyed out in my menu. Is that because I need to connect to the mount? I have never had to do that before and could not find clear instructions. I am using a...

Problems with ZWO ASI2600MC Pro
I have been using Sharpcap for live EAA events and AP successfully for about 9 months. I've used a ZWO294MC Pro, ZWO174MM and ZWO462MC with no problems. Live events are great and my AP is steadily improving. I just got a ZWO2600MC Pro and expected it to significantly out perform my 294MC Pro, but fr...

Saving Raw frames, lose color
I was imaging a nebula using live stacking and saving all raw frames with a ZWO294MC Pro. When done, the "save as shown" PNG was in color as expected, but the raw frames were all grey - maybe the slightest hint of color but negligible at best. Why would I not get color in my saved raw fram...

chessboard pattern on random DSO images
I'm randomly getting a checkerboard pattern overlaid on some of my Sharpcap photos. Doing live stacking on DSO's like the Veil or Crescent nebula. After a short live stack, select "Save exactly as shown". When I open the png in Photoshop Elements, it shows up with a checkerboard pattern ov...

Saving settings for EAA - no histogram?
I have a Pro license and use a ZWO294MC camera, with the objective doing live public outreach EAA presentations. Because M51 for example will have very different settings than NGC7000, what I want to do is set up in advance the optimized gain, exposure, histogram, zoom settings etc and save them in ...
