Re: Will manual dithering work?
But wouldn't a kind of manual dithering help? Of course. It can help a lot (300 subs conceal a great possibility), if dithering region (i.e. dithering distance in all directions) will be properly large as compared with your green and red blots. Live Stack feature because it never worked for me: the...

Re: Streaks in my image
1.) I’m not exactly sure in #6 when you say, “…not very large value…” What would be an example of a large value vs. a not large value? We (you and I) have different scale (arcsec per pixel) and different CMOS sensor, so we have different “…not very large value…”. But this value should be picked up ...

Re: Integration of several LiveStack's results
If you have a particularly clear night then the sky background will drop and you will have much lower noise in the faintest regions, but in brighter areas of nebulousity the noise level will change much less. Maybe there is some software out there that does this automatically by doing local noise e...

Re: Streaks in my image
I don't believe dithering is possible with my Alt/Az mount, but I may be mistaken. Very easy. 1). After beginning Live Stack, choose some bright star in the fields. 2). Switching Reticula ON (any type of it as you like) 3). Move Reticula crossline upon the chosen bright star. This crossline will wo...

Re: Integration of several LiveStack's results
Thank you to all! Robin, I understand that, in first approaching, the integration time of each frame should be proportional to its weights. But it is only in first approaching, because a sky background may vary from night to night (for high-altitude haze, Moon etc.) And even two equal frames (say, 1...

Re: Streaks in my image
Subtract Dark=None I suppose, this was the first cause. Were masterdark be applied, all things would be better. And the second and the most important: You had a drift of field. And this factor may be used for profit. Namely: You should return the field of view (return of aiming), but do it with som...

Integration of several LiveStack's results
Hi, Robin! Please, advice me a convenient method of integration of several LiveStack's results. For example. I've imaged some DSO during 7 nights and have now 7 FITs files (32-bit) - each is result of one night imaging with Live Stack. Ok. All 7 FITs have (1) different integration times (2) differen...

Re: Flats and mottling pattern in final stacked image
Thanks for sharing the info on how to correct this issue. If anyone works out the actual initial cause of that mottled pattern in the flat images, it would be very interesting to know about it. I just can't see any good reason for that sort of pattern to appear. PRNU (photo-response non-uniformity)...

Re: Histogram failure
Ok, Robin. I'll try to do it during some night, when I be working with narrow filters.

Re: Histogram failure
Hi, Robin, May be one more bug... When I'm imaging with LiveStack some dark scene (with narrow filter for example) and switching histogram in LiveStack window in logarithmic mode, I see that it happens something wrong with its left slider. Namely: when I press "Reset" bottom this slider ju...
