Re: Using the "Multi Reticule" tool
Thank you, Robin! I appreciate it. Thanks for the advice. I agree. So far, I think I have everything lined up where it should be in the X direction, but there shouldn't be any offset in the Y direction. The reflection of the secondary (cyan reticle) is offset as it should be. The image of the second...

Re: Using the "Multi Reticule" tool
Thank you, Robin! Thanks for sharing the collimation guide. Looks fantastic! I skimmed through it, but will need to read in depth later. Already seeing a few things I need to change with my workflow. Thank you! A reset button for each reticle in the Reticle Controls window sounds great. Should be al...

Using the "Multi Reticule" tool
Hi Robin, I'm hoping you could shed some light on how to use the new Multi Reticule tool. My understanding so far: Enable the Multi Reticule tool by selecting it from the Reticules dropdown menu in the toolbar Enable reticules using the checkboxes under Show in the Reticule Controls window Set the a...

Re: Can the iOptron iPolar be used with Sharpcap like the QHY Polemaster
Hi folks, To add to this thread, I'd like to share my recent experience since my initial expectations of the iPolar were somewhat askew. I had a chance to use the iPolar last night for the first time. First with the iPolar software, and then with SharpCap. The reason I switched back to using SharpCa...

Thank you, Robin!
I'll give that a try, and let you know how it goes.
Much appreciated,

Re: QHY268 Image Size Issue
Aaaaaaaaaah... I fell in to this trap. Couldn't figure out why my calibration frames wouldn't register with half my light frames. Eventually realized they had slightly different dimensions, and remembered seeing something about image size mentioned here in the forum. Also explains why some sequences...

Re: Does plate solving display the image scale somewhere?
Just to add to the conversation here, SharpCap does log the image scale as it's performing the plate solve. I've used this in the past to calculate the working focal length of my optical train. It can be found just before log entries indicating that the field was successfully solved. Here's an examp...

Re: QHYCCD Cooling Workflow
I wrote a few sequences to assist with cooling/warming the camera sensor. Unfortunately, the sequence prevents me from using SharpCap while it's running. Which makes sense under most circumstances. But for something like sensor cooling, I was hoping to be able to continue using SharpCap while the se...

Re: Add data points to Sensor Analysis
Happy New Year, Robin! I hope the holidays afforded you plenty of time for rest and relaxation. I wanted to follow up on this issue after finally having the opportunity to run the Sensor Analysis tool again. I'm using it with a new camera this time, the QHY268C. I tried using the SetGainValuesOfInte...
