no that's all off, I know how big stuff is in what scope, I was more trying to illustrate what was happening but thanks for input, ill try all the above in the next few days and report back :)

thanks Robin for the info, ill try those, one thing I have done is try today in daylight, its fine? only jerky at night

jerky framerate

i realise this is something that I think is down to me, but not sure how to fix, hopefully ill explain properly. I'm new to sharpcap sooooo, gpcam 2 in a oriaon st80, the image on screen is really black, so I up the gain to maximum and the exposure time, only then do I see the really bright Jupiter....

thank you for the reply, well didn't have the gpcam2, so I just added pixel size/img size etc and it comes out 41x30, so according to that will be fine, thanks for the help :)

guide scope size

hey all, I know this is an easy question, but as we haven't had a clear night for the past 5-6 days been unable to check. I use a skywatcher st80 for a guidescope, now that's quite a bit bigger FOV and the 200mm recommended size, so will P.A still work or will I be better ordering an altair astro 50...
