Re: Sync & ReCenter

Hi, thanks for reporting back on your latest testing - it's particularly interesting that the error from CdC is half that from SharpCap 'solve and sync' and matches a SharpCap plain GOTO. That ties in nicely with the my analysis in post #9 above - that the GOTO is ending up in the wrong position and...

Re: Lunt O Ring Replacement.

Hi, seems like as good a place as any for it... I would have thought that O-rings are fairly much a commodity item, and there's probably no difference between those used for a pressure tuner than those used in some completely different application - the important things are the diameter across the O...

Re: ADV formats capture Error

Hi, thanks for the data - I think I have identified the ADV problem now due to a change I introduced in 4.1.12151 - I have a fix for the next update. There's no way in software that I know of to force the camera to run in USB 2 mode - the easiest options are either to use a USB2 cable if the camera ...

Re: Question on two-monitor view

Hi, the zoom levels of the two displays are not linked, as that would behave oddly when the available space on the main screen doesn't match the available space on the second display. The way to zoom the second display is to use the mouse controls for zooming, which are the standard CTRL key + mouse...

Re: Space Stations in daylight

Hi,

congratulations on getting such good images of the ISS - it's not a target I have tried, but I went to a talk about how it is done earlier this year, so I know what a difficult target it is!

Re: Solar Mosaic 1st Attempt!

Hi Carl, nice work and good to hear that the mosaic tool worked well for you :) A good point on the overlap being in % terms being a clearer way to present it - I will have a look into that. I don't recall needing such a big overlap when I was stitching the mosaic, but I was using Affinity2, which m...

Re: ADV formats capture Error

Hi, can you save a few frames to SER and send me the camera settings file that gets created please? Those settings should be the same as the ones that cause the crash in ADV. I have just tested with a QHY camera here and see no problems with creating an ADV file, so I think it will be something spec...

Re: Exposure Starting Point

Hi, if you really want to attack it from a scientific viewpoint, it's possible to do, but would rely on data that probably isn't available without trying to measure it yourself. Let me explain... In astro imaging you get three components to the pixel value that comes out in your final image 1) Photo...
