Hi,
as I've replied in the other thread, I'm pretty sure that setting the 'Debayer preview' option is sufficient - it certainly is in my testing and I checked the code too.

Re: Which SharpCap version is the best for QHY 5iii 485 c?
Hi, if you are seeing horizontal banding in the images then it's unlikely that different versions of the software will help - the banding suppression function has not changed significantly since its first introduction and I don't think the QHY SDK version is likely to have much impact either. My exp...

Re: Does Sharpcap integrate with any planning tools?
Hi Rob, if you can code, I'm sure you can glue something together. For instance SharpCap 4.0 has a sequencer module (see https://forums.sharpcap.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3109). The saved sequences are text files in a very simple 'not quite a programming language' language. You could take the o...

Re: No colour with Live Stacking of Folder Monitor Camera
Hi Dave,
I think I disagree with you - I looked at the code and can see that the debayer should be called before stacking if you have selected 'Force XXXX' even on mono colour space.
If you have some individual frames that you can share then I will be happy to test.

Re: Flats nightmare
Hi,
you can click on the green curve in the graph at the bottom of the brain window - click at the gain=190 point and it will read off the suggested exposure for that gain.
You will have to enter the exposure manually mind you...
cheers,
Robin

Re: New Feature : Improved Star detection in Multi-star FWHM Focus
Hi Roel,
yes, my intention is to make this star detection available across all SharpCap features (stacking, polar alignment, etc). I just want to try it in one place first to iron out any bad bugs.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Updating to the lasted SharpCap sorftware
Hi, leaving the old version (3.2) in place when installing 4.0 is deliberate - the two can run independently of each other (you can even run both at once), so the idea is that if you find yourself outside on a clear night and the new version is not working correctly, you can instantly switch back to...

Re: Another newbie with PA issues
Hi, Brian is right to suggest checking the pointing using plate solving - if you are detecting 25 stars and are within 5 degrees of the pole then the plate solving for polar alignment should kick in rapidly. I suppose it's possible that the tree may be blocking out enough of the frame to cause probl...

Re: APT no image download when Sharpcap is launched
Hi Greg, SharpCap watches the source folder for changes when you are using the folder monitor camera, and if it spots a new image file of the right type, it will try to read it almost immediately. I wonder if APT is creating the file (perhaps empty) and then trying to write to it, but before it gets...

Re: What does this drift graph say about my guiding
Hi,
It looks like it is drifting continuously, which is odd considering you have guiding running in PHD. Is PHD actually doing any guiding? What does the PHD guide trace look like?
