Hi,
It looks like it is drifting continuously, which is odd considering you have guiding running in PHD. Is PHD actually doing any guiding? What does the PHD guide trace look like?

Re: New Feature : Background Subtraction
Hi,
could you share a couple of individual frame images (saved without dark/flat) and any dark/flat frames you were using and I will test to see if I can work out what is going wrong.
thanks,
Robin

Re: APT no image download when Sharpcap is launched
Hi, A few extra questions so I can work out what is going on... 1) what camera are you using in APT? 2) what camera are you using in SharpCap? 3) Does it just have to be SharpCap open (no camera open in SharpCap) to bring APT to a halt, or does it only happen when you open the camera? cheers, Robin

Re: Newbie - Problem with PA
Hi, if you are using the GPCAM on the EDF72 then the field of view would definitely be a bit small. If you are already on some sort of guide scope (~200mm focal length) then you should be in the sweet spot already. Sometimes its easy to make so many adjustments to the star detection settings that it...

Re: QHY 294 C pro
Hi Paolo, I have seen this before when sometimes a camera will only work on USB2. In some cases it is down to the USB3 chipset (the camera will work fine on USB3 on another computer). I have also seen this as a result of a hardware problem on the camera - my camera needed a replacement USB circuit b...

Re: SharpCap 4.0 Beta Now Available
Hi folks, @Mike, I can see a lot more of what is going on from the log - hopefully can put together an effective work around which I will get into the next update. @JesusRL, a log would definitely help (alongside the log, a note of what time the problem happened so I can trace it back against the lo...

Re: New Feature : Improved Star detection in Multi-star FWHM Focus
Hi, I think I may have discovered the cause of the bad readings - if some frames (at random) have too few stars, then they get a score of 50. That gets averaged in with all the other frames, but will obviously make a big impact on the average if all the others are scoring 7. For the next update I'm ...

Hi Mark,
the high res mode is only available on the mono version of the camera. Actually, you can get it on the QHY 'PRO' colour version too, but it's not useful yet as you get an odd pixel bayer pattern that nothing knows how to deal with yet.
cheers,
Robin

Re: No colour with Live Stacking of Folder Monitor Camera
Hi Dave, so SharpCap looks for the 'BAYERPAT' header when loading the fits file and if it finds that then it will show up as RAW16. SharpCap writes that keyword, I guess other programs may not, explaining why they may end up as MONO16. However, setting the Debayer to FORCE XXXX still works in live s...

Re: Question re: LiveStack interface
Hi,
I was tinkering in the code near to this to try to fix another issue, so while I was there I updated the decision on how many blocks to show to include (hopefully) the DPI of the monitor. Hopefully that will fix this particular issue - I'd be interested to hear if it does.
cheers,
Robin
