Re: Sharpcap seems to want its own instance of eqmod?

The only other thing that comes to mind is could you have possibly selected the EQMOD Simulator in SharpCap?

I just tested with PHD2 and Stellarium separately (connecting to EQMOD using those applications first) and then connecting using SharpCap 4.0 and didn't get a second EQMOD.

cheers,

Re: Creating Flats with Solar Images

Hi, difficult to be sure from your screenshots, but it looks awfully like you have an image of the sun visible on the camera when taking the 'flat' - that is incorrect. A flat frame should be pretty much uniform grey except for possibly dark splodges from dust on the sensor or darker corners due to ...

Re: Image Control White Balance

Hi Ted, unfortunately there is no real prospect of adding direct support for Orion cameras to SharpCap at the moment. I wasn't even aware that Orion were advertising SharpCap compatibility for their cameras via the ASCOM driver until I went and searched for the G21. Flattering in a way that they thi...

Re: Start Capture

Hi Bill, thanks for the suggestion - I'm not adding new features at the moment as I am concentrating on releasing SharpCap 4.0 and fixing as many bugs as possible, but I will note this idea down for a future update. Note that you can achieve this in SharpCap 4.0 using the sequencer tool, but it is a...

Re: CPWI changing camera settings

Hi Joe, sounds like the camera lost USB connection with the computer. You normally pick your camera from the 'ZWO cameras' section of the cameras menu - the items there only show up when the appropriate camera is plugged in. SharpCap monitors for notifications about USB devices being added/removed a...

Re: Image Control White Balance

Hi, if you are using an ASCOM driver then any colour balance controls will be inside the camera options window (look in Camera Controls - there will be an 'Options' line with a 'Show' button). What you get to see and adjust when you show the camera options is determined by the camera manufacturer, n...

Re: Sequence Planner - Basic vs Advanced have different settings

Hi Phil,

it looks like a bug :(

I will investigate and hopefully have a fix by next week's update.

cheers,

Re: "Disappearing" Frames

Ok, 1 USB port makes life hard!

Is your Hub a USB3 one? If not then finding and buying a USB3 hub may be worth a try. They are not too expensive and will dramatically increase the bandwidth between the computer and the hub, which might be enough to help.

Re: Mount greyed out in Altair 183c

Hi Dan, sounds good - the AVX warning is down to using a relatively old CPU (or at least one that doesn't support the most modern instruction extensions - this also includes some more modern CPUs designed for low price/power usage). If you try to use the more advanced features in SharpCap 64-bit aft...
