Re: Upgrade behaviour and Solar Mosaic.
Hi, if you are missing bits between the panels then the two things you can do are 1) Revisit alignment and check that the 'Goto XXX Edge' buttons on the page after the alignment actually put the selected edge of the sun/moon in the middle of view - that validates the alignment is spot on 2) Increase...

Re: Unable to Choose less than 10 Alignment Stars
Hi, the simple answer is that you don't select less than 10. The number selected is the maximum number that SharpCap will use - it may use less if fewer than 10 stars are available, in theory working down to 3 stars in some cases. Once you get below about 10 stars though the reliability may well sta...

Re: Direction control button switches off tracking
Hi Julian, thanks for the report - it's interesting to see that something fairly unpleasant was happening with the attempted calibration (surely should be something like a line in that graph, not the shape it was). I am now wondering if the issue you are seeing is another aspect of the bug reported ...

Re: Upgrade behaviour and Solar Mosaic.
Hi, were you upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1, or were you moving from an older 4.1 to a newer 4.1? I must admit that I am not sure what would happen with an upgrade from 4.0 to 4.1 for a second profile - I didn't think of testing that scenario - it could be that it finds enough settings already set that i...

Re: 16bit and 32bit files
Hi Tim, getting the 32-bit files is a live stacking feature - when you are stacking, by adding more frames you add bitdepth to the stacked image. For instance if you have stacked 32 frames you get an extra 5 bits of data (2 to the power 5 is 32) - with your 14 bit camera that would mean that the sta...

Re: SVBony SV305 (Older Non Pro) not natively detected
Hi Phil, OK, all looking pretty reasonable there - I think that the bulk of the differences from mine are either related to USB port numbers (not significant) or because you have yours plugged into a USB3 port (again, shouldn't make a difference). It looks like the driver is loaded correctly and the...

Hi,
no, nothing to do or worry about if you already have a lifetime license - those licenses will continue to work.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Time Sync from PC to Mount
Hi, in the latest versions of SharpCap 4.1, SharpCap will check the mount time when connecting and show a warning if the mount time and PC time differ by more than 60 seconds. With the warning, you would get an option to try to set the mount time from the PC time. However, that working depends on th...

Re: TargetInvocationException on Goto
Hi, yes, that makes perfect sense now... I added one line of code to set the mount to tracking before setting the rate - seemed harmless enough and a good thing to do in case the mount wasn't already tracking at all. The problem was, in some circumstances turning on the tracking would get a bit conf...

Re: TargetInvocationException on Goto
Hi Geoff, I think I might be starting to see where this is coming from - it is sending a custom tracking rate as part of turning the tracking on, and that custom rate is the -15.??? one that is out of range. I can sort of see why, but not quite sure what has changed yet, but got it down to 1 or 2 pl...
