Hi,
I was tinkering in the code near to this to try to fix another issue, so while I was there I updated the decision on how many blocks to show to include (hopefully) the DPI of the monitor. Hopefully that will fix this particular issue - I'd be interested to hear if it does.
cheers,
Robin

Re: QHY268C - Always buffers 3 frames
Hi Rik,
did you try beta version 4.0 yet? I've made a lot of changes in that version for the newer QHY cameras. It works a lot better with my 294PROC than 3.2 did, so maybe it will help with the 268?

Re: QHY 294 C pro
Hi, if the camera opens and you just see black, check to see if the frame count is going up in the bottom left corner - if it is not going up then SharpCap is having a problem getting images from the camera Capture.JPG Also, please try the new 4.0 beta version of SharpCap - that has improvements for...

Re: Can you guide with Sharpcap?
Hi, there are two ways that you can imagine doing this... 1) A bit like PHD - some sort of calibration to work out which direction the image moves for which mount movement direction (and how far), followed by nudges after each frame. This would work better for shorter (<30s) exposures, so the drift ...

Re: Flats nightmare
Hi, if your flats are giving you trouble at 121 gain then I would avoid that value entirely for imaging (lights, flats, darks) - the fact that the flats are not working indicates sensor non-linearity due to the not saturating issue. I'd either go with 119 or less, or about 180+ to avoid the problem ...

Re: New Feature : Improved Star detection in Multi-star FWHM Focus
Hi, thanks for the feedback - it's very useful. I have already made sequencer steps to apply autostretch and reset the stretch (they will be in the next update). I was expecting HFD to be more stable, so it is a surprise that it is not :( More investigation required! For the problem with the single ...

Re: Sensor Analysis Crashes for DSLR at 1600 gain
Hi, so both of those logs end with an error : 18:24:39.558 Camera error. TAKE_PICTURE_CARD_NG 18:50:24.149 Camera error. TAKE_PICTURE_AF_NG I'm going to guess that NG might be 'Not Good', in which case one of them could have failed due to a memory card error and the other due to autofocus? Odd that ...

Re: No colour with Live Stacking of Folder Monitor Camera
Hi,
yes, you can do this - when the folder monitor camera is working with mono images (including RAW ones), the option to 'Debayer Preview' should appear just below the colour space - set this to the correct pattern for your camera and you should be OK.

Re: QHY294PROC striking lines on main stars ...
Hi, if you have time to share a selection of the RAW files along with the dark and flat that you used I would be keen to test myself to see if I can understand where the banding is coming from - it definitely sounds like it could be a stacking glitch, but I have not seen that one before. If you also...

Re: QHY294PROC striking lines on main stars ...
Hi,
were you using the 'Banding Suppression' function by any chance? That tries to remove horizontal banding in the image, but it's possible that in some circumstances could cause the sort of lines you are seeing in the stacked (processed) images, but not in the RAW unprocessed ones.
cheers,
Robin
