Re: My Python scripts broke between 4.1.11137.0 and 4.1.12025.0
Hi, in the latest update, I did add some extra access to try to cover your previous list of missing things - you can get at those using SharpCap.LiveStacking.Guiding SharpCap.LiveStacking.FrameFiltering These two new objects allow access to the guiding and frame filtering settings that were previous...

Re: What's your secret sauce ?
Hi John, well, FITS is significantly slower to write than SER, so if you were taking lots of saved frames quickly then you could build up a queue of frames ready to be written to disk. In the worst case, if the SharpCap memory buffer fills up completely then frames would get dropped without saving b...

Re: TargetInvocationException on Goto
Hi Geoff, ok, thanks for the logs. If you do work out which version breaks it then do let me know, as searching for the changes between two consecutive versions will hopefully narrow down the possibilities for the cause very quickly. The logs do look promising - in the one with the slew, SharpCap tr...

Re: SV305PRO Newbie Problems
Hi, there are generally 3 main slider controls to adjust - exposure, gain and black level (sometimes black level will be called offset or brightness). It's usually best to leave other control (sharpness, gamma, colour adjustments, contrast, etc) at their default values. While adjusting those other c...

SharpCap Pro - New Pricing April 2024
Hi folks, it's now been nearly 3 years since we last changed the pricing of SharpCap Pro. In that time, inflation has increased prices generally by about 20% here in the UK, meaning that the real value of the £12 payment has dropped by about 20% over that time. We have now had to act to restore the ...

Re: Spurious hot pixel groupings occasionally appearing in some master darks
Hi Errol, I have experimental code now that finds the issue in dark #16 at the position you recorded. In fact, the statistics of that pixel are that it is *hundreds* of standard deviations from the mean value of the other darks for that position! Looking at the individual dark frame, you can see tha...

Re: TargetInvocationException on Goto
Hi Geoff, just tested this on my NEQ6 with EQMOD 2.00w and (typically) it works fine... I had a dig around the source code for EQMOD itself to see what might cause a maths overflow error when starting tracking, and an incorrect custom tracking rate having been set is certainly one option (the custom...

Re: What's your secret sauce ?
Hi John, I can see from the screenshot that the sequencer was in action when you were imaging - I guess you might have been running some sort of exposure bracketing sequence? How many frames were you capturing at each exposure length? I would recommend a minimum of 10 for short exposures (or a 1s de...

Hi,
the share wasn't set up for public access, so I have just requested access to the file - once you approve that I will be able to download it.
cheers,
Robin

Re: TargetInvocationException on Goto
Hi Geoff,
thanks for testing - I can still use EQMOD on my system here, so I will try that out and see if I see the same result. If I do, it should be possible for me to work out what is going on and hopefully fix it.
cheers,
Robin
