Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

Hi, thanks for that - that's an old version of the QHY SDK from December 2017. If it happens to work better with your camera than the most up-to-date one then obviously feel free to use it, but it's sadly not some newer version than the latest public version of the SDK. I have contacted QHY and they...

Re: Custom frame transform?

Yes, ToInt64() will be fine.

Did you manage to load and use your C++ DLL?

cheers,

Robin

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

Hi Greg,

could you upload to dropbox, google drive or something like that and share a link? If not just try emailing it to me - I think 13Mb will go through, but it probably needs to be zipped as .exe files tend to get blocked.

cheers,

Robin

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

Weird, I think I must be seeing a different web page to you - the only page I can find for the 183C is this one http://www.qhyccd.cn/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=89&id=12 All animations and images and not much useful apart from a 'Service Support' link which takes me here http://www.qhyc...

Re: Neximage 5 only showing as direct show camera

Hi, I only have one camera of this type to test with (an Imaging Source mono model) and that only supports one resolution of 640x480, so I can't do a great deal to test with this particular problem. As far as I can see, SharpCap is asking the camera to go back into image capture mode after changing ...

Re: Sensor Analysis on QHY165C

Hi Greg, the sensor analysis results look reasonable for that camera and indicate that the gain control is working as expected (the value is the gain in dB for that camera). Where did you find the update download? I can't find it at all on their new site. I wonder if it contains a new SDK that they ...

Re: Auto exposure and Altair 290M

Hi, that sounds a bit like my experience with it - at times it would work and then at other times it would get stuck and leave the image either too dark or too bright but then eventually adjust. I just had a look at AltairCapture and I can't find a way in that to increase the range of the auto-expos...

Re: Sensor Analysis

Hi,

you can find them in

Code: Select all

C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\SharpCap
just copy them to the same location on the other computer.

cheers,

Re: Custom frame transform?

Hmm,

try

Code: Select all

lease.Buffer.ToInt32()
instead - that will give you the memory address in an integer. If there is a 64 bit version of SharpCap in future then you would need ToInt64()

Re: Wrong file format selection

Hi,

check out the docs - https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Saving%20Options - turn off the setting 'Start cameras with ‘Auto’ output format'.

I will have a look to see if I can see the save option not enabling myself.

cheers,

Robin
