Re: Exposure in file name

Okay, now I understand why were getting different results – in spite of your first post clearly saying you were having problems with the process filenames, I went ahead and tested the raw filenames I think. Oops! I will retest later this evening.

Re: SC doesn't work with Gemini Telescope.NET ASCOM driver

Hi Greg,

No hurry – that sounds like some serious whether you are having so keep safe and warm from it and give it a test when you get a chance.

Re: Feature for framing target

Hi, Ah yes, I remember the suggestion – basically would involve a plate solve on the previous frame and then go to that position. It's definitely on the list of things that may happen in the future, but I don't have any specific timeline through implementing this yet. The thing in favour of this fea...

Re: Different Capture Destinations

Hi, There are no easy options in SharpCap to achieve what you want but there are a couple of possible workarounds. One is that the settings for different versions of SharpCap are separate to each other, so if you're happy using SharpCap 3.1 for one purpose and SharpCap 3.2 for the other then that wo...

Re: Exposure in file name

Hi, Okay, that's weird. The only thing I can think of is that there is some particular set of options that cause the problem to happen which are different from those that I am using. Please can you give me some more details so that I can set things up exactly the way you have – for instance let me k...

Re: SC doesn't work with Gemini Telescope.NET ASCOM driver

Hi Greg, Let's have another go – try this version https://d.sharpcap.co.uk/download.html?version=3.2.5922.0 I hadn't properly separated the 2 different units I was using for the movement rate (degrees per second and multiples of sidereal) in the previous version. I think I got it right this time rou...

Re: Finer color adjustment in Live Stack

Hi folks, For a quick change that should give an improvement I've been able to adjust the amount that the sliders change if you use the up and down keys on the keyboard from 0.1 dB to 0.02 dB. To do this you have to click on the slider first then use the up and down keys – if you click on the slider...

Re: SC doesn't work with Gemini Telescope.NET ASCOM driver

Hi Greg, Please can you try this version – https://d.sharpcap.co.uk/download.html?version=3.2.5921.0 What was happening was that the mount rate from Ascom was being converted from degrees per second into multiples of the sidereal rate and then back again and I think rounding errors in that were caus...

Re: SC doesn't work with Gemini Telescope.NET ASCOM driver

Hi Greg, Thanks for the log, I think I can see what is going wrong. The Mount allows for 3 separate slewing speeds as can be seen in this log line Info: 20:35:17.7940160 Thread:#1 SharpCap.MountProxy.ASCOM.MountWrapper.GetSlewRatesViaIndexing(Int32 axis) :: Slew rates are : 802.190327479879-802.1903...

Re: Finer color adjustment in Live Stack

Hi folks, Do you need the full range that the colour adjustment sliders provide for you at the moment or could you make do with a smaller range if that gave you finer control? I'm just looking for an easy solution to this problem as I suspect that making it slides more slowly with control press down...
