Re: Cartes du ciel or skychart?

Hi, If you configure both the sky chart application and SharpCap to talk to the Ascom driver for the mount then the synchronisation between the applications should work automatically – both will periodically update based on any changes to the mount's position and both will be able to send commands t...

Re: Connecting to a Mount

Hi, Are you by any chance using some sort of remote control programme to access the PC that is running SharpCap? There have been issues in the past with certain remote access applications and those particular buttons which seems to be related to the way the buttons work (holding them down keeps the ...

Re: Daytime Focusing using OAG

Hi David, SharpCap can certainly work with computer-controlled focuser is like the ZWO EAF - you will need to install the Ascom driver for the focuser and then look at these parts of the SharpCap manual https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Hardware%20Tab https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/3.2/#Focuser%20Contro...

If you have some basic programming skills you may find this an...

Re: Sharpcap and Sequence Generator Pro

Hi, I certainly like the idea of fully automatic focusing in principle, but I have seen a number of applications where autofocusing seemed to involve moving the focus are randomly a bit and then claiming that the focus was now correct in spite of all available evidence and I really didn't want to do...

Re: Qhy8l temperature control

Re: Asi 120mm

It's also possible to write custom software that can read the data from fits files and process it in whatever way you choose – there are lots of libraries availa...
