Comet C2022 e3 photography question

Hell,

We will be using SharpCap and a PlaneWave 12.5 telescope and ZWO AS1701 color camera to photograpy the comet. Curious what exposures people may be using. We are trying to avoid star trails.

Look forward to all replies.

Dark frame Queston

Is it possible to take one dark frame and store it in the Dark frame library and then make copies ( adding a sequential number after each file name).
This would seem to save a lot of time when taking multiple dark frames.

Also, how would this effect the live stack process ?

Thanks,

Charles :D

Re: Set up help with ZWO camera

Thanks for replying. Problem was related to the scope. Manufacturer asked us to unplug usb connection and then plug back in. Also shut down and turned scope back on. Software and camera now work fine.
