Re: Future Versions of Sharpcap
I apologize for repeating myself, but if the documentation is going to be updated later, the manual itself will not make sense. Wouldn't one strategy be to clearly state on the front page of the manual that new features that are not in the manual are explained in a dedicated thread in the forum? Wat...

Re: Future Versions of Sharpcap
It is certainly a tough job for Robin to do alone, I've felt it from my own experience of translating and editing texts. However, I think it is difficult because we are trying to get all the updated parts of the document done at once, and we should have done the corrective work each time. Again, why...

Re: Future Versions of Sharpcap
In my opinion... The development of new features is a good thing, and users will use the documentation to understand them first, including existing features, but only if they are consistent with the SC.

Re: Future Versions of Sharpcap
A further word of caution... While the new features will be welcomed by experienced and seasoned users, novice users rely more on the documentation.

Re: Future Versions of Sharpcap
Hi Robin, That reminds me of a developer who once said something similar to you. It was a disappointing response when we asked developers who sell imaging software commercially if they do not provide documentation to their users. The developer said that he was more concerned about spending time deve...

Re: Future Versions of Sharpcap
Hi Robin,
To add further, your work appears to be very busy, why don't you consider a staff member (partner) to help you move forward with the development of this SC?
I suggest if you consider the need for consistency between documentation and software.

Re: Future Versions of Sharpcap
Hi Robin, I agree, I've been feeling uncomfortable since working on translating the SC manual. The reality is that the documentation cannot keep up with the addition of new features, including existing ones. Why don't we stop here and clean up the functionality and documentation consistency? Re: Proposed addition of two independent focuser control functions!
Hi
So, first you start SharpCap for the main focuser (left image), then you start SharpCap for the guide focuser (right image), and then one of the SharpCaps communicates with each focuser?.
Thanks,
Watanabe
