Re: QHY GPS Updates in 4.1.12174
Hello Robin, I just tested it. It works ... but ... With the user without admin right, then it is necessary to enter the admin password. I found a problem ... if the user cancel the admin password query ... it crashes SharpCap. The delay between the GPS time and the PC time seems to stabilise to 20 ...

Hello Robin, Thanks to mention that you have done some changes. Concerning the QHYGPS camera ... - I asked few weeks ago if it was possible to shift some pixels down the timestamp on the QHYGPS camera image. So that the GPS information will be visible above the timestamp. (in the case that somebody ...

Re: Exposure Starting Point
Hello Jerry, Concerning using a larger scope ... If you double the diameter with the same FD ratio, then you double the focal length. With a double focal length, you will have an image with double dimension in X and in Y ... what does a factor 4 in surface. The double diameter produces a factor 4 in...

Re: Version 4.1 plate solving issues
Hello, You can first check the same Plate Solve software with both SharpCap version. The SharpCap 4.0 uses only extern Plate solve software. If the same extern Plate Solve software gives the same results with 4.0 and 4.1, then you can have a look with the internal Plate Solve of SharpCap with the 4....

Re: Web Server
Hello Alejandro, Sometimes it is simple to test it ... and it works :-) If you use only "SharpCap.SelectedCamera.LiveView", then it gives you back the status. "True" for the LiveView is active or "False" if not so Still mode. If you use "SharpCap.SelectedCamera.Liv...

Re: Deep Sky image annotation for asteroids
Hello, Very interesting tool. The ASCOM dlls have some functions for the calculation, so it could be possible to write a script. An integrated tool in SharpCap is the best. I think that SharpCap should do the calculation from the MPCORB.DAT file. It will then shortcut all the intermediate steps. The...

Re: Height and/or Width Zoom
Hello Robin,
Thanks for this new choices.
But one thing ... it is now necessary to scroll in the list between the upper or lower selection.
Can you modify the view so that the full list is all the time visible ? (so no more scrolling).
Regards,
Jean-Francois

Re: Deep Sky image annotation for asteroids
Hello Carlo, The Deep Sky Annotation tool allows to paste a text line from the clipboard. Search how to format this line and then you can paste the coordinate of any objects to the Deep Sky Annotation tool. Do you see my script for the UCAC4 stars catalogues ? If not ... then search in the forum &qu...

Re: First image won't update when capturing.
Hello Robin, Thanks for the information. I downloaded the dll and copy it in the SharpCap folder. It works a little bit better. The continuous double exposure disappears ... but not for the first image after a change from Live to Still mode. But, I remark a strange behaviour ... Can you confirm it w...
