Re: Can I add Tracking on my Telescope mount ??

Hello, You have a SV305 camera (what explain the small field of view) ... https://www.svbony.com/sv305-astronomy-camera The camera seems to have a C-mount thread. You can mount (maybe) directly a C-mount objective. If you scroll down the svbony page, you will see an example with an objective. If you...

Re: Flaws in Image

Hello, First to Menno ... if you rotate the camera and the dust is on the camera (detector protective glass, camera window or other fixed filter on the 1.25" adapter), it will rotate with the camera ... so it will be all the time on the same place relative to the camera detector ... so on the s...

Re: Can I add Tracking on my Telescope mount ??

Hello Zeeman, If you can mount a photo objective on your camera, do it ... it will help to debug your settings. Concerning the histogram: Histogramm_Zeeman.jpg The yellow curve shows you the actual monitor "scaling" ... the line is curved on the left ... it shows that the low intensity lev...

Re: Can I add Tracking on my Telescope mount ??

Hello Zeeman-Zeeforce, (are you looking "The Thundermans" with your children ?) To come back with the small field of view on your picture. The needed parameters are only the focal length of the telescope (telescope + additional corrector/reducer resulting focal length) and the dimension of...

Re: A new solar adventure

Hello, Yes, the origin of a ghost reflection can be at several places. One easy test is without the diagonal or with a different camera. Also the transmission through the Ha filter device is per construction very low ... only the Ha goes through. It does not help to have a visual look. In some cases...

Re: A new solar adventure

Hello Robin, It is each time nice to begin with a new "toy". Is the filter your first solar equipment ? ... If yes, then it is a good picture. For the ghost in the protuberance imaging ... that is normal :-) ... the illumination of the full disc is much larger as the rest of the field. You...

Re: QHY 174 GPS Calibration LED issue // USB Traffic weirdness

Hello Robin,

OK.

Jean-Francois

Note: I do not investigate the question about the LED-time in other topic ... I do today mountain-bike and sun-heliography (spectroscopy).

Re: QHY 174 GPS Calibration LED issue // USB Traffic weirdness

Hello Robin,

I have seen that it exists, and I have think to have it, but it was not compatible with all the cameras or it is necessary to modify the camera (change the back plate).

So I have no other information about the GPS Box.
