Re: In/Out focus buttons in Focuser window

Hmmm. Dunno what's wrong with the pic. However it is the same one as in the docs so I feel that I have it working right. It would just have been nice to have had two or four buttons to move the focus in and out, slow and fast. All the rest I think I've got or tried. If I am the only person asking fo...

Re: In/Out focus buttons in Focuser window

Here's the pic again https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipPxOxq-v83vh92N6wuy599ECzLStl_9L550FGM I am seeing exactly what is in the manual and the Scan In or Out works. what I was looking for was a quick way to move the stepper motor in ot out manually to bring an image into near manual focus withou...

Re: 3.2 and ASCOM myFocuserPro2

Robin, I have ASCOM 6.4.0.2618. It works fine with all my other telescope devices AND, after an unistall, a test with 3.1 and then removing 3.1 via Control Panel then re-installing 3.2 (it kept all my settings so I guess there was some 3.1 stuff still kicking around), IT WORKS PERFECTLY EVERY TIME. ...

Re: In/Out focus buttons in Focuser window

Robin, I am obviously missing something. This will mainly be that I am very new to SharpCap. Yes, I have read the manual but as yet do not fully understand it. I need to used the tool and learn enough to ask questions. Currently in 3.1 or 3.2 I only see the buttons in my attached pic. https://photos...

In/Out focus buttons in Focuser window

The title says it all really.

In the focus window I would love to see 2 or 4 buttons for In/Out, Slow/Fast [ << < > >> ] to manually move ASCOM focusers to initially move them to a start point for the image.

What do you think?

3.2 and ASCOM myFocuserPro2

myFocuserPro2 https://sourceforge.net/projects/arduinoascomfocuserpro2diy/files/ is an Open Source ASCOM focuser by Robert Brown. I just built 3 of them for my scopes and one for a friend. On sourceforge there are a number of utilities such as stand-alone WIndows and ASCOM testing app as well as an ...

Re: How to report a Crash

Hi Robin, Thanks for your reply. Serial timeout delays have been the bugbear of communications since serial comms were invented. I agree with everything you said. Perhaps the only possible thing you could do would be to increase Sharpcap's timeout for serial delays. I have done some careful testing ...

Re: How to report a Crash

I just had Sharpcap 3.2 crash on me several times. It is the first time I have used it with myFocuserPro2 which I have just built. myFocuserPro2 is Arduino Nano based and can connect either via the Nano's USB port or via Bluetooth (HC-05). I am not using a camera, just the Deep Sky demo camera withi...
