Re: Sensor Analysis Result vs PixInsight's Basic CCD Parameter Script
Hi Robin, Thanks for the reply. I followed the procedure in PI to obtain the images I fed to PI. That is, 2 Bias frames, 2 Flat frames and 2 Dark frames (5 sec and 50 sec). In NINA I used a Gain value of 100, an Offset of 50 and HCG is set to On. Ultra was also chosen. I am thinking on what Read noi...

Sensor Analysis Result vs PixInsight's Basic CCD Parameter Script
Hello, I just recently did a sensor analysis on my 26M and also did the Basic CCD Parameters Script in PI. Is there a particular reason why the results differ? In SharpCap's Sensor Analysis I got these values: Gain value 100 Read noise = 3.6 e- e-/ADU = 0.74 while in PixInsight I got these: Gain val...

174 or 183 Chip-Based Camera?
Newbie here. I have a TMB 105/650 CNC telescope, focal length is 650mm. The 174 chip-based cam has a 5.86u pixel size and will produce a 1.86" arcsecond/pixel size based on my FL. The 183 chip-based cam has 2.4u pixel size, 0.67" arcsecond/pixel Which one is the best match for my scope. Th...

Image Quality
Will there be a significant difference in image quality if the subs are captured using SharpCap, Sequence Generator Pro, NINA, AltairCapture, or other imaging capture software? Does imaging capture software matters? Thanks.
