Re: ZWO224MC default debayer wrong?
Yep, the problem is that I didn't have the UV-IR filter in my image train. Here's the photo with the UV-IR filter and the default deBayer setting: track.jpg The stupid thing was that I *had* the UVIR filter when I was doing planetary imaging, but since this is no longer planetary season, I'm using S...

Re: ZWO224MC default debayer wrong?
Oops! The red result in the first image could be because I forgot to insert in an IR filter. I'll test this evening and get back to you.

ZWO224MC default debayer wrong?
HI Robin, I've used my 224MC for a few years for planetary imaging and never checked it on a terrestrial object. Recently, I checked it and I found that the "DeBayer:on" which I think defaults to RGGB, gives a red image of the tree leaves: Screenshot 2023-06-07 at 7.16.31 PM.jpg I checked ...

v4.0.9224 cannot talk to laptop webcam (earlier versions can)
Hi Robin,
I just installed v4.0.9224 and this version no longer talks to my laptop webcam:
The previous version v4.0.9208 works fine with the webcam. The webcam details are here:

Re: (SOLVED) Possible bug in Sensor Analysis for STF8300
Hi Robin,
You're absolutely right, it's user error. I redid the sensor test again and this time I increased the illumination above 50% and the test continued to the end.
I've marked the subject as solved.
Thanks!

Possible bug in Sensor Analysis for STF8300
Hi Robin, I may have found a bug in the Sensor Analysis tool. Cedric_r wrote an ASCOM driver for the old SBIG cameras like my STF8300. See https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/736483-the-curious-case-of-sbig-cameras/page-5 and https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/736483-the-curious-case-of-sbig-cameras/...

Re: Using Seeing Monitor as a sky quality meter
Hi Robin, Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try it out the next time. Yes, I want to monitor the seeing conditions during the night during my DSO imaging session. Since the PoleMaster is only used at the beginning of the imaging session, it would be useful for it to monitor the seeing conditions durin...

Using Seeing Monitor as a sky quality meter
Hi Robin, Can the seeing monitor be used as a sky quality meter? My PoleMaster is mounted on the saddle, and so it points to the area where my imaging scope is pointing. I then connect the PoleMaster to SC and place the Seeing Monitor rectangle in the region where I'm imaging. I monitor the histogra...

Re: Problems with PoleMaster
Hi, Build 6137 has yet another version of the qhy SDK – unfortunately since I don't have a pole master camera I can't test this before I release a new build, but it sounds possible that the camera has been broken again in the latest SDK version. Try going back to previous version (6128?) and see if...
