I have had a lot of trouble with naming folders, but I just downloaded the 64 bit new version of SharpCap and it appears that the problems have been completely resolved (at least from my perspective).

Did I mention I was a beginner? ! This was very helpful. I managed to de-bayer the apparent greyscale files to create colour versions. Then I managed to stack them. I should add that I have DSS and can stack the raw frames successfully to make a nice greyscale image...

Thanks for the reply. The stacked files are "FITS" format in a directory …/capture/00_00_11, and the raw frames are FITS format, in a directory called …/capture/00_00_11/rawframes. The raw frame FITS files are one-third the size of the stacked ones, and clearly don't contain the colour inf...
