Hi Robin, I'm sorry but there is a misunderstanding. All my darks have indeed 16-bit color depth, it is just that the color inspection tool of the image processing application I used (Pixelmator) shows color values only in range 0-255, but under the hood there is the full 16-bit value range (0-65535...
