Re: Run Away RA slew

Just for people's info;

There are some posts on this in the Yahoo Gemini 2 group forum. These days I'm just always mindful of checking that the scope is going in the right direction and always ready to hit the "stop" button if needed.

Re: Plate Solve Sync'ing but Not Re-Centring G11GT Mount Gemini II

To continue a little, FYI I'm slowly ironing out issues but really. Now seems that the Gemini 2 Ascom builds two star alignment models. One for the East (Model "1") and one for the West (Model "0"). Go figure. You would think that it should auto know which side its on but seems I...

Re: 64 bit SC Crashes

Thanks Robin

I'll stick with the non-64bit version for now. Yes its a N4200 - yes its low power, not sure about "old" but no matter.

Re: 64 bit SC Crashes

Thanks. Opened SC. Ran procdump and then went to Focus Assistant, all pretty much froze at that point and here is full screen shot of all messages.

The DMP file itself is some 40Mb.

Re: Plate Solve Sync'ing but Not Re-Centring G11GT Mount Gemini II

Hi Robin Setup last night and tried a plate solve from within SC. The good news is that I did manage to get a successful solve and re-centre of Stellarium and the mount. I've got lots of little issues that happen - eg Gemini 2 not saving the solved sync, lost SC later, etc etc but main issue is SC p...

Re: 64 bit SC Crashes

BTW FYI - downloaded and installed the latest non-64 bit version of SC. That one seems to work fine.

Re: 64 bit SC Crashes

Hi Robin

Opened SC, ran Procdump. Procdump runs and within a few seconds, before I do anything in SC, SC closed.

Am I missing something. Has a file been written somewhere or ………….. ?

Regards Richard

Re: 64 bit SC Crashes

Hi Robin

I ran Procdump and it simply closed SC. I ran it again and it then thought two copies of SC were open.

Will try again.

Re: 64 bit SC Crashes

I've tried rolling back the two ZWO drivers - camera and Ascom. Tried QHY camera. Same result when I open Focus Assistant. I didn't get to Zoom.
