Re: Flat generation subtracting dark flat

Clouzot is correct, and I have used this method of taking my flats with matching dark flats, however, Sanjeev has brought up some excellent points in order to make this process as convenient as capturing flats with a bias in Sharpcap.

Adding sharpness boost to none live views

Hi Robin I am not too sure if this has been requested as yet but I was wondering if it's possible to add an Unsharp Mask feature to your none live stacking for observing the moon or planets? I really like your enhancement features in the live stacking and sometimes when seeing permits, it would be n...

Re: Adds on SC Pro?

I have never had any ads on my Sharpcap Pro since day one and only had them using the free Sharpcap.

Re: Dither without guiding?

Hi Robin Thank you very much for the feedback. I appreciated it! Yes, I see exactly what you mean and I will just switch back & forth from one Sharpcap (SC) to another SC pending on target object that I want to dither. I know that I must go into the settings of one SC program to the other SC pro...

M64 Using ASCOM Dithering

Here is an unprocessed live stacked (67 x 30 secs) image taken from my Bortle 8 skies using my RC 10" at native F8, ASI294MC camera, and my IDAS-P2 filter. I did not guide but wanted to try out the new dithering via ASCOM without guiding. I am really pleased with the dithering which greatly red...

Re: Dither without guiding?

BTW Robin, I gave this some thought and know that I will only be able to dither one camera setup at one time since both setups (2 Sharpcaps, two cameras & two scopes) are mounted on one mount - Losmandy G11 and they are not timed exact in sync. Would you also agree with this or do you have any o...

Re: Dither without guiding?

Hi Robin I totally did not know that these options had to be selected. It is clear again here tonight, so I will select these options where you highlighted in yellow and try it out. I guess the one you have checked but not highlighted ("pause stacking if guiding is lost") is not necessary ...

Dither without guiding?

Hi Robin I liked the fact that you added dithering without requiring any guider in SC4. I tried it yesterday by going into the guiding tab and set the mount to dither without guiding using ASCOM, and then I connected my mount in SC using the ASCOM driver. During the live stacking, I did not notice a...
