Thanks oopfan, very helpful! I was using the FWHM filtering feature the other night and had to set the limit to 8, average FWHM score was around 7.5. So it sounds like I'm over-sampling and I should have switched to 2x2 binning at that point? That would get me back to ~3pixels of FWHM My pixel size ...

FWHM units?

Hi,
I understand what the FWHM measurement is but I'm curious as to the unit of measurement.. my best guess is pixels but I was unable to confirm that in the docs or old forum posts. If it's pixel-based then it would be a sensor-dependent score.

Hi Robin, thanks, that does make sense, it's just that most of us EAA folks don't really want to mess with guiding as accurate tracking is not really something we need. An auto-nudging feature would be handy but I totally understand, the orientation/movement direction is non-trivial.

Drift correction

Would it be feasible to have SC occasionally pause live stacking, nudge the mount to counteract a gradual drift and then resume stacking again? It would be like having very basic guiding to counteract those black bars that start to creep in as the mount drifts off target over the course of a capture...
