Capture issues with QHY cameras
Hi Robin, I have three QHY cameras: 168C, 183M, and 183C. I am seeing frame capture become worse in the latest SharpCap version 3.2.5949 than 3.2.5906. This behavior is with native mode. In 3.2.5949, both 183M and 183C have 3.5 times longer exposure for all frames. For an example, if I specify the e...

Re: QHY camera image capture issue
I don't have a filer wheel. I wait for the filter initialization message to disappear and then SharpCap works.
Sometimes when SharpCap was not receiving any images, I was suspecting if this filter initialization has any part in it.
If not, it is not bothering me.

Re: QHY camera image capture issue
Hi Robin, I tried the latest SharpCap and found the indefinite image capture problem was fixed. Thanks for your work. I also found that an older QHY ASCOM driver version 0.1.51.15 works well with QHY183C and 183M. The latest version 0.1.51.19 doesn't work. There was no other version between these tw...

Re: QHY camera image capture issue
Thanks Robin for the quick action. I will try the new version. Some other issues I found is 1) SharpCap crashed with 'force still mode on' 2) QHY ASCOM capture mode doesn't work. Camera doesn't send any image back. 3) I suspect this as a HW issue but to check if you are hearing this type of issue, Q...

Re: QHY camera image capture issue
I selected 'single frame' in the select capture limit and checked 'perform a sequence of captures' in the capture sequence and specified the number of frames to capture in the sequence length. BTW, I am seeing no capture issue with QHY183C in a colder temperature. It works well in the room temperatu...

Re: QHY camera image capture issue
Hi Robin, Thanks for the reply. On further test, it looks like the issue was not the SW but the HW. When I connected 12V power supply, all worked OK with SharpCap3.2. The only SW issue that I am seeing now is that the number of single frame captures is not correctly done. It stops one frame short of...

QHY camera image capture issue
I have three QHY cameras (168C, 183C, 183M). 168C works OK with SharpCap3.1.522 but not with 3.2.5897. 183C works OK with SharpCap3.2.5897 but not with 3.1.522. 183M works OK with either SharpCap3.1.522 or 3.2.5897. Also 168C worked OK with 3.1.522 before 3.2.5897 was installed but not OK after 3.2....
