Robin,
Thanks for doing this. I have found that "Good Code" is great, but "Good Code + Good Documentation" is MUCH better.

“PERIODIC ‘Task’ EVERY ‘X’ FRAMES” a success
Robin, Last night was the first time in 17 nights in which the smoke and clouds were thin enough to allow testing (but not real imaging). I seized the opportunity to finally test the new “PERIODIC Autofocus EVERY ‘X’ FRAMES” that I had asked for a few weeks ago. Here is the relevant portion of my se...

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin,
I just downloaded v4.1.10987, and I see that the "Run a periodic task called "-----" every X frames' command is included in it. Thanks for putting that in. Now, can you get rid of all our smoke, clouds, thunder, lightning, and rain so that I can test it?

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin,
Thanks for inserting the code. I'll download it next week once it is out. The timing should be good. Astrophotography is a no-no here now due to clouds, thunderstorms, heat, and smoke. Looks good for all of this should be gone by next Tuesday, although I'm not sure about the smoke.

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin,
Is there a chance that the 'Periodic task every X frames' command will be included in the upcoming release of v4.1, but if not, will it be in an upcoming beta release?

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin, Yes, a 'Periodic task every x frames' sounds great to me, but it's your call. Just depends how easy it is and what other things of more significance may be on your plate. If you do implement it, I'll happily put it in my sequence script. BTW, I had a successful 6h 15m imaging session last nig...

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin, I looked at that "Run a periodic task every x seconds" command tonight. Looks like that will work for me, although I was too chicken to implement it on my 5+ hour imaging session tonight. I was a bit confused by it at first, because the way I have looping set up in my current script...

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin, I think I found a reason for at least some of the cases involving SharpCap's interaction with PHD2 and dithering. I call it "user error". I do my imaging using a relatively powerful laptop. I remember this happening a few nights ago, but I didn't connect the two, but it happened aga...

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin, Thanks. It sounds like I shouldn't do anything to my script since you are building the fix into the SharpCap code. I'll just download the latest code when I see that a new version is available. On the bright side, I did 2h 45m of imaging last night and everything worked as I planned, even tho...

Re: Sequencer+PHD2+Clouds=UGH!
Robin, I’ve attached the log file from 8/7 (I stripped out some lines from the start to keep it under the 1 Mb max), and you can see where the problem w/PHD2 occurred at 00:34:35. I ran my image scripts again last night, and the same problem occurred. I then restarted the sequence script and the pro...
