Re: Canon 350D
Oh dear, and this I think may result in spending a very great deal of time! I'm beginning to feel that this should be a back burner project, as there seems no easy solution. I've had a 350D spare body for some time, I thought I might be able to utilize its fairly large sensor to good effect. But it ...

Re: Canon 350D
Thanks Dave, that's good to know. It could save me a lot of time.
Are you aware of any workarounds that CAN make the 350D play with SharpCap? (I have a virtual machine running xp which could be pressed into service.)

Canon 350D
Is it possible to use a Canon 350D with SharpCap?
I have found very few (and confusing) posts on the internet, and would appreciate a definitive answer.

Re: LX mode problems
Ah, probably not. I was using a version I'd downloaded a few weeks ago onto my laptop.
Sorry about that.
I'll download the newest version and test it again. May take me a few days to report back as I've got a lot on.

Re: LX mode problems
Addendum Hi Robin, I was testing out your mod the other night and noticed a slight glitch. When one examines the text file saved with the exposure settings, I noticed that a few of the early data lines were missing. For example, the camera model was not identified. I realised this as I was comparing...

Re: LX mode problems
Hi Robin, Postscript: If one changes the exposure time using the SLIDER rather than typing the number in or using Quick Picks, the response of the software to the item: ": at maximum exposure (60 seconds) the time over-runs..." is more reliable. After a few attempts it will usually capture...
