I had a similar problem that turned out to be for a trivial reason. I was using Dropbox and my home network eventually couldn't keep up with the uploads. I now pause the sync to Dropbox when capturing images.
I again used the brain function a few nights ago, and it again gave exactly the same results as last month: 1 second exposure at 380 gain. Is this typical, that the values will show little or no change for the same equipment/location?
The other night, I used the brain function to calculate optimal exposure near three different targets, and each time it generated exactly the same numbers.
