Re: AstroPixel Processor saying not enough disk space
Thank you. Would you be kind enough to help me understand what a "partition" is. Also, my APP directory is on my "D" drive, so you think if I change that to the "C" drive that will help? How do I know the C drive won't have the same limited partition? Very computer-conf...

AstroPixel Processor saying not enough disk space
I've just started using AstroPixel Processor and after a few weeks of enjoying the results, I keep getting this error message. I have no idea why it says not enough free hard disk space, since I've only used 493 GB out of 2.72 TB. If I have that much free disk space, why am I getting this warning (w...

Re: Looking for confirmation that this is a collimation issue
I’m not sure if every frame looks like this. Since the raw data is in fits files, I can’t open to look. I’ve learned to use APP, would that allow me to view the individual frames? I do struggle with guiding, is it my AVX mount??? I’m on a waiting list for ASIAIR Plus, hopefully the guiding will be l...

What I'm calling star "halos" occurs across the entire image. Thank you all for trying to help with this. Maybe this attachment will h

Re: Looking for confirmation that this is a collimation issue
STAR problem.jpg Thank you Menno (I'm not much with computers, but I tried to do this in Photoshop). If you enlarge your screen you might be able to see that the stars in this image have a kind of bright oblong center and at eleven o'clock you can see a kind of round "halo" bulging out. I...

Looking for confirmation that this is a collimation issue
BLOATED .jpg I'm not sure if this image shows my concerns, but the stars when very blown up show distortions (all in one direction). My Polar alignment was excellent, guiding satisfactory (30 sec exposures / 120 gain). I was using a Hyperstar f/1.9 on my 8" SCT. If this is a collimation issue ...

Re: How to get beyond USB cable problems
Dave, I want to thank you for you exhaustive effort offering me this possible solution. Much of what you say has to be digested (I'm not much of a computer guy). I, for example, have a router in my office on the other side of the house which wouldn't serve me for this. Would I need to purchase a new...

Everything seems to have stopped working
For the past four outings I’ve met nothing but one failure after another. Most of the time I am unable to stack frames. The other night after successfully stacking two frames I went inside for a bit…came out an hour later and no other frames were stacked! All were ignored. I didn’t see anything abno...

Re: How to get beyond USB cable problems
Thanks Robin, Hm, yes, a mini-computer solution would be quite pricey, but worth considering. If I have this straight, the mini computer would be next to the mount (I'm assuming I can use a hub to connect my different USB cables to that computer, then I would run a USB 3 cable into the house and int...
