Re: Live stack reset after 60 seconds being shut down.
Hi Robin, Thanks for that will disable it although I imaged M78 the other night and the focus run takes over 60s as it takes 3 x 5s shots 12 times while focusing and I did not lose the stack that was already there I am running the x64 bit version that you released that contains the hires plate solve...

Re: Live stack reset after 60 seconds being shut down.
Hi a bit late to the party on this one, but when I am live stacking I watch the FWHM and my temperature to decide when to refocus. Once I reach a point that requires refocusing then I pause live stack and originally would open the the multi star FWHM tool without hitting the X to close the live stac...

Re: M78 Casper the friendly ghost
Hi Dave,
Yep turned out better than expected from the limited acquisition time just hoping for some better weather before Christmas or perhaps I should ask Santa for some clear moonless nights.
Cheers
Nick

M78 Casper the friendly ghost
Well managed to get just over three hours of imaging last night this is the best 46 subs out of 58 stacked, was a bit hit and miss as none of the apps agreed on what the weather would be so in the end looked at the satellite feed from windy.com and the sky temperature from my weather station and tho...

Re: M45 - At last a clear night
Hi Mixon, Thanks for the compliment the break down is as below lights I took 72 3mins in total so 3hr 36mins then in Astro Pixel Processor (APP) ditched the 8 that were low in quality score so the integration image is 3 hrs 12mins as posted. For calibration I used 25 x 3 minute darks but these only ...

Re: M57 Ring nebula and its faint outer shell (HaRGB)
Hi Meno, Nice shot if only we could get more clear nights not sure about your location but the way it's going here we get one clear night a month or so it seems and usually coincides with a full moon right were you don't want it.
Cheers

Re: Sequencer Live Stack / Focuser
Hi Robin, Had already spotted the live stack for N frames as was looking what was there so will probably go with that, also looking to add dither to the loop do I also need to use the check PHD guiding bit or does it do that automatically and also the live stack currently alters the exposure time wh...

Sequencer Live Stack / Focuser
Hi Robin, Currently I am using the sequencer to run a focus scan around the current focus point I have to manually edit this as due to the small step size on the Esatto I need 12 focus points +/- 10,000 steps either side to get a curve that Sharcap likes and the step box in the sequence planner does...

Re: NGC1499 California Nebula (Most of it)
Hi Robin, Thanks for the heads up will keep an eye open for it and give it a try although the existing one was pretty spot on as it centred the star I had selected in Stellarium for the goto before the plate solve, if the new one takes four times as long I probably won't really notice as I said the ...

NGC1499 California Nebula (Most of it)
Hi Well miracles never cease we actually had a clear night forecast and it actually stayed clear. Installed the new version 4.1 of SharpCap as well to give it ago and enabled the built in plate solve option. Slewed to target plate solved and thought the mount had gone wrong as the solve was stunning...
