Re: IC410 The Tadpoles

Hi Dave, Thanks for comment, I have had a quick play with transposing the channels and have linked an image below of what I get this is a little rough and ready I only put HA a in blue for the one as it tends to dominate and just looks weird. The other option would be to cross bleed between filters ...

Re: M43/M42/NGC 1977 HDR combine, Altair 183C

Hi Dave, Nice image as you can still see the Trapezium, this is something I plan to have a go at with Orion at some point as the Trapezium is so damned bright going to leave it a bit later with the optimistic hope of getting more than one clear night in a row, and also might get a colour camera as I...

IC410 The Tadpoles

Well we had a clear night after nearly two months of cloud so having remembered how to get everything working had an imaging session, the Ecco dew control played up so lost 30 minutes when everything dewed up it took a while to warm the triplet so had time to drink more red wine, but got going again...

Re: The Crab & California Nebulae with a hyperstar

Cracking images as usual at least it gives me something to look at other than the gale force winds and driving rain. October was pretty much a write off November is starting well :(

What were the stack times?

Re: Image annotation

You can already do a lot of this in the filenames tab of settings if you are talking about including this information in the actual filename, you cannot do the telescope as SharpCap does not know this or the free text part but all the other information and more is available. Re: Backfocus

That is not any easy question to answer as it will also depend on the focal length but on the specifications page for your telescope it should give a dimension behind the focuser at which the image plane will be focused. If not then as a rough dimension if say the focal length of your scope was 500m...

Re: Messier Catalog Completed 10 - 2019

I am impressed that you did them all as I keep considering working my way through the Messier objects but then get side tracked with Nebula as I can't drum up the enthusiasm for imaging star clusters which I probably should try to do at some point problem is so many objects so few clear nights in th...

Re: Hyperstar Views

Nice shots, I am considering the L-eNhance filter if I decide to get a colour camera to go with the ASI1600mm for nights when I want an easier life or have friends children around to show them things in colour rather than monochrome. The bubble and lagoon look good for 80mins lots of detail. Quite l...
