Re: Skip Advanced Capture
Hi, are you still on track for this feature (quoting you below and at top of this "mail chain")? ... in a future version (3.3 I hope) there will be proper support for still capture which means that the camera will no longer need to be running like a video camera all the time and you will b...

Re: Skip Advanced Capture
Robin. You provided advice last year on how to start a frame capture from the actual time it is requested (IE not from the buffer). Basically this was by resetting the camera. I noticed some activity in this area and wondered if you had added a more sophisticated option. Grateful for an update.

Update from 3956 not recognised
Both Windows 7 and Windows 10 earlier versions (3956 and 3906 respectively) will not recognise version 3971 as an update - from the help menu. Also I notice several updates can try and run together - I know it's a user (IE my) error but is it worth checking to see if an update is already running bef...

Re: External trigger to launch SharpCap script
Firstly - doing something slightly different. Namely running python 3 on a Windows 7 PC. I have similar problems when running your script. However the following seems to work: 1) click on the stop running script button in SharpCap python console (I suspect it also stops for you - though port stays o...

Re: Need scripting help
Been learning scripting. Just to say I copied the very last 3 lines of script you posted. Indented the second one ran it and it works. At first it didn't seem to then realised I hadn't made the SharpCap window wide enough to see the button tacked onto the end. Hope that's the final hurdle :) And tha...

Re: Reset capture start time
Yes that sounds useful; as it will be more accurate. And I assume it would have a shorter "dead time" than exists with the current method; of gain reset? Your sentence ending "and without doing something to force the camera to change it's exposure sequence there can't be " tells ...

Reset capture start time
Can you include a scripting command to start a capture from the time it is run. At present a capture can get information from a buffer - potentially going back seconds. This means timing can be out on the purported time if a sequence is taken. Enabling this will enable the better determination of ve...

Check for updates not finding update
Possible tiny bug - 3.0.3861.0 did not show update to later version 3.0.3888.0. Running on Windows 10 - not sure anything else is useful. Bit difficult to check if still problem with later version
