Well, auto expose failed. It set the exposure very high, reflecting I suspect the large proportion of black pixels. So, the image was blown out. Is there any way to enable auto exposure, or is it necessary at all.

The documentation for collimation says it is for Newtonians. So it won't work on an SCT, RC or refractor ?

If it is not too much trouble, can you explain why.

I use a windows Surface Pro 2. It is a dated model, according to Msft. I found that my fingers were too fat to get good control of things like the histogram sliders. I also tried using a pen, but that too provided poor control. I always use a mouse, or the track pad on the Surface Pro 2 keyboard.
